Currently filming for his hit biker drama series "Sons of Anarchy," Charlie Hunnam recently revealed during an interview about a few plot ideas for his upcoming movie sequel "Pacific Rim 2." Known for his role as Raleigh Becket in the original summer hit movie in 2013, Hunnam is excited about the recently-announced follow-up of the film as he takes another opportunity to work with "Crimson Peak" director Guillermo del Toro.

"They're moving forwards slowly, nothing's guaranteed, but I think [del Toro and Zak Penn are] going to get the script delivered in about a month or something, and then I think they'll probably know more clearly how they feel about moving forward," the British hunk told Zap2it during an interview. "There's certainly a pretty healthy level of enthusiasm at this point."

Although the release date is still far off, the 34-year-old actor can't wait to fight with the Jaegers to protect planet earth from future invasion. "Pacific Rim" ended with the defeat of the monstrous Kaiju and Hunnam has a few ideas that would be interesting to explore in the upcoming sequel.

"I'm interested to see what the period of peace after the war looks like, and what these guys do, and how the world would react," he added. "One of the things I love most about 'Pac Rim' was the idea that we all kind of dropped our petty differences to fight the monsters at our door, literally. I'm interested to see -- if, I don't know if they will -- once that threat is diminished, what the socio-political landscape would look like. I'm sure literally the last breath of the last Kaiju we'll be back to fighting each other."

Filming the last season of FX "Sons of Anarchy," the actor is reprising his role as SAMCRO's president Jax Teller for the very last time. The show recently released its third teaser titled "Fear the Reaper" as Jax seeks revenge from his wife's brutal murder, not knowing that his own mother is responsible for Tara's death.

"Sons of Anarchy" season 7 is scheduled to kick off in September.
