A scene of Claire from “Outlander” series has surfaced online, which could help the fans who are having Droughtlander trouble. The scene shows the character visiting a familiar place, and recalling all the wonderful times she shared with the love of her life- Jamie. Meanwhile, Starz is celebrating women power by recognising the female writers in the company, and Ronald D. Moore’s creation clearly stands out.

Season 3 is set to begin with Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire (Caitriona Balfe) being separated by both time and space. While The Scottish warrior survives the Battle of Culloden and goes on to live his life, his wife will be in America, thinking him to be dead. Both the characters, at this time, have given up hope about meeting each other again.

This scene posted on Twitter by a fan of the show, perfectly encapsulates the pain and misery Claire feels without Jamie. Such scenes are expected to be featured in the first few episodes of “Outlander” season 3, before the emotional reunion of the two characters, a scene that is highly anticipated by the fans of the book series on which the show is based.

Meanwhile, Starz is celebrating women’s power in Hollywood in their “Girls Rule” panel. In a special mention to the show based on Diana Gabaldon’s books, the studio pointed out that Tall Ship Productions, which is responsible for making the show, has seven female writers and 3 male writers. That comment got a thumbs up from Co-executive Producer and writer Matthew B. Roberts.

Moore’s TV series has been widely appreciated for making a TV series that puts a strong female character at the centre. In the past, Hollywood has been criticised for mostly focussing on the male characters, and putting the women in the background. The Starz show on the other hand is all about Claire. Her adventure, her pain, and even some of the sex scenes are all about her.

Filming of the next season is ongoing in South Africa at the moment. Starz has already released a teaser trailer for the fans. Production is scheduled to wrap by next month.

“Outlander” season 3 will premier in September. The plot this time around will take the fans on a journey that spans decades. That means they will get to see an older Jamie, just as they saw an older Claire last year. The show has also added many new actors in various roles.
