“Outlander” TV series has managed to win another award, thanks to the dedicated fan that helped secure the victory. The award comes at around the same time as the launch of the first teaser trailer of Season 2, which has added to the excitement of the fans.

The TV series has won the Radio Times Sci-fi and Fantasy Show Championship of 2015. The TV series had to compete with Marvel’s “Jessica Jones” in the final round. With more than 70 percent of the vote share the TV show won the award.

The journey to the final round has been described as a “fierce fight,” with “Jessica Jones” beating popular shows like “Supernatural” and “Humans.” However, in the end the fans of the book series by Diana Gabaldon, on which the TV series is based on, made sure that their favourite show won.

Cast members Sam Heughan (Jamie Fraser) and Caitriona Balfe (Claire) are said to have helped in getting more votes for their show. The series will now compete for the title of Radio Times TV Show Champion by the end of December.

Meanwhile, the first teaser trailer of “Outlander” Season 2 has been released by Starz. Jamie and Claire were last seen on a ship, travelling to France. While there, they will try and stop the Jacobite rebellion and save the lives of many Scotsmen.

The trailer teases that Claire will be having a baby bump in the next season. The trailer also shows that there will be lots of action in the next season and a battle scene is shown in the video. Jamie and Claire can also be seen next to a grave.

The producers have so far not confirmed an actual air date for “Outlander” Season 2. Readers can expect the show to premiere sometime in March or April 2016.
