"Outlander" stars Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe recently reunited at BAFTA LA's Britannia Awards in Los Angeles. The co-stars, who are known for their sizzling on-screen chemistry, were reportedly seen enjoying each other's company.

Sam and Balfe have maintained that they are good friends, but that has not stopped fans from speculating about their relationship, according to reports by OutlanderTVShow. Moreover, just before the awards ceremony Sam took to Twitter and hinted that he is extremely excited to meet somene. Though he did not mention any name, it did lead to speculations that he was excieted to meet Balfe, according to reports by FashionnStyle.

The two also posed together during the event. Balfe wore a dress from Burberry Prorsum Pre-Fall 2014 collection while Sam looked dapper in a blue-grey Burberry suit. The two were all smiles during the event. Their pictures can be seen here.

Furthermore, according to "Outlander" producer Anne Kenney, Sam and Caitriona really care about each other, and this shows on screen in their intimate scenes. "The relationship off-screen with them, they're just very affectionate with each other," gushed Kenney. She added, "They're very caring with each other, so that's lovely and kind of infuses the relationship between Jamie and Claire," according to E! Online.

"Outlander" is currently on a mid-season break and will return next year in spring. The hit Starz drama is based on the novel of Diana Gabaldon. It offers a peek into the dramatic world of Claire Randall (Caitriona Balfe) and Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan). Ronald Moore developed the show.

Season 1's mid-season finale left the audience at a cliffhanger, when Claire was once again taken prisoner by Black Jack Randall. Moreover, the onscreen wedding of Sam and Balfe was met with much appreciation and it is speculated that the upcoming episodes will have more to offer in regard to their romance.

Balfe said in her recent interview with TV Guide that the reason "Outlander" has some extraordinarily romantic TV sequences is because of the chemistry and challenges shared by its lead characters Claire and Jamie.
