Lead cast members Sam Heughan (Jamie) and Caitriona Balfe (Claire) have invited fans to share their stories of love lost, which is the main theme of the first few episodes of “Outlander” season 3. In another video, the two actors teased how their respective characters start off in two separate timelines on the show.

Starz has released a video of Heughan and Balfe explaining how their characters will start next season centuries apart, and how the two lovers miss each other terribly. Just as Jamie and Claire have their “lost love” in their minds all the time during the separation, the actors said there are fans who have gone through a similar experience.

Some of the fans apparently reached out through comments, telling about how they went through something similar. The cast wants to hear more such stories, and this time, they have made it more formal. The stories can be about how they lost their true love - even a friend or a family member - including details about how they met the person.

Fans can share their stories by writing to LoveLost@Starz.com. Such personal stories are reasons why viewers are able to relate to the show so much.

Meanwhile, another video released by Starz teases the parallel lives of Jamie and Claire. In the video, Balfe said that when viewers last saw her character in the 1960's, she had just found out that the love of her life is still alive, but she didn’t know what happened to him after the Battle of Culloden.

Claire, her daughter Brianna (Sophie Skelton) and historian Roger (Richard Rankin) will try to piece together all the clues about where Jamie had been after the Battle of Culloden in season 3. The video shows how the two characters went on with their respective lives, each missing the other.
