New pictures of Sam Heughan from the production set of “Outlander” Season 3 have surfaced online. A new report reveals where these scenes are being filmed and other filming locations for this year.

A new set of pictures from the production set have been posted on Sam Heughan Source. One of the pictures shows Heughan (Jamie Fraser) using his cell phone while wearing his kilt on the battle field. The actor can be seen taking a break from filming and chatting with some of the extras and crew members.

The cast and crew are filming scenes from the Battle of Culloden. The filming is taking place at Cumbernauld in Scotland, BBC reports. According to the report the filming locations for the TV series include Newtonmore's Highland Folk Museum and Doune Castle near Stirling. The production team will also travel to the Caribbean and North America to film additional scenes.

Meanwhile, Co-Executive Producer Matthew B. Roberts teased a picture from Scotland with some beautiful scenery. He was out scouting for locations to film scenes for the show.

Previously leaked pictures of “Outlander” Season 3 showed blood flowing down Heughan’s face. One of the fans asked Co-Executive Producer Maril Davis about how difficult it is to get Jamie’s scars right in every scene. She said that they have a “fabulous” makeup team and also said that they have a “map” of all the scars.

A big challenge before the makeup team this time around is to make Heughan look 20 years older. The team has already proved its mettle by doing this with Caitriona Balfe (Claire) in the previous season.

“Outlander” Season 3 Production Designer Jon Gary Steele has also posted some pictures online to tease some scenes. Some of the pictures are of The British Library and one curious picture of a printing machine, which the fans suspect is the important print shop scene from Diana Gabaldon’s books.
