Fans won't have to wait long for the highly anticipated reunion of Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire (Caitriona Balfe) in “Outlander” season 3, Balfe has confirmed in a recent interview. The two characters will be separated for about 20 years before they meet again at a print shop.

In an interview with MTV posted on YouTube, the lead cast members were asked about how long fans will wait before they see Jamie and Claire reunited. “Twenty years,” Heughan quipped. Technically, the actor is right, but Balfe later answered the question by saying the wait will not be a long one.

The actors are not allowed to say in which episode the Print Shop scene is featured, but Balfe teased it “definitely is not half and half.” With the new season having 13 episodes, the reunion could happen before the sixth episode. If the show doesn’t go into hiatus for unforeseen reasons, the Print Shop scene could be seen by mid-October this year.

Claire has had a lot of time to prepare for the reunion. However, for Jamie, seeing the love of his life again will come as a big shock. It will be so much he will faint, Heughan teased. The actor said he managed to fall gracefully as a gazelle in this scene. Balfe, on the other hand, felt that her co-star was just as graceful as an elephant.

During the interview, Heughan also revealed that while filming the last episode of “Outlander” season 3, he “busted” Balfe’s nose. They were filming a scene in water, and the actor drove his colleague into a log of wood. The wound has since healed, but it left a scar on her nose.
