Filming of “Outlander” season 3 may have wrapped up, but Caitriona Balfe (Claire) had reportedly suffered a minor injury on the last day of shooting. The actress shared a picture of a red mark on the face, which she said Sam Heughan (Jamie) was responsible for.

Some of the major stunts this year were shot on the last day of filming. Balfe joked that this was done to make sure that any injuries did not hamper the production or affect other scenes. It appears that one of the stunts they filmed on the last day involved a boat journey, and the actress said her fellow cast member steered them into a log.

Balfe landed on the log face first, resulting in the injury. The actress appears to be fine, except for the red mark on her nose.

A video of the wrap party that Balfe shared online showed her in high spirits. Heughan, too, was seen having a lot of fun, playing around with his leading lady and some of the members of the crew.

One of the crew members was asked for a message for fans in the video by Balfe. “Great season man!” the crew member teased.

Balfe has thanked all the crew members of South Africa. She is now heading to a much deserved rest before starting work on other projects she may have lined up after her break.

Co-executive producer Maril Davis, who was with the cast and crew in South Africa during the filming in the last few weeks, has also left the country. “Good bye Cape Town! I'll miss your hospitality, your ships & your beauty. But it's the people I'll miss the most,” she wrote in her post.
