Roger (Richard Rankin) and Brianna (Sophie Skelton) are made for each other, and they know it. But their relationship won’t be smooth in “Outlander” season 3, the two actors teased in a recent interview. While there is romantic tension between the two, their main focus will be to find Jamie (Sam Heughan).

"With Brianna and Roger, they don't communicate very well even though they are the only people in the world who understand each other," Skelton said in an interview with TV Guide. "There's that beautiful infuriation. You just want them to sit down, tell each other how they feel and move the relationship forward that way."

Talking about the relationship between Roger and Brianna, Skelton said it is always changing, with a “lot of push and pull.” Sometimes, fans get to see them come together, but since they are both “very stubborn,” viewers also get to see the characters torn apart. The next season will continue to showcase this aspect of the relationship, the actress teased.

Despite their problems, Brianna and Roger will establish a strong bond in season 3, Rankin teased. The two characters get to establish the bond while they research to find details about Jamie. The actor said it’s going to be “exciting” to watch this relationship on screen this year.

The relationship of Brianna and Roger will be crucial in the first few episodes. It may act as a balancing force to the pain Jamie and Claire (Caitriona Balfe) feel without each other. While the Sassenach attempts to start a new life with Frank (Tobias Menzies), the trailer shows there is hardly any romance between the two.

Meanwhile, co-executive producer Matthew b. Roberts has shared stunning new behind-the-scenes photos of “Outlander” online. The pictures are from the previous seasons of the show, and are mostly from the time they filmed the Battle of Prestonpans scenes.
