'Outlander' season 2 premiere date set for March/April; New pictures of Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe
“Outlander” TV series executive producer Ronald D. Moore has confirmed that Season 2 will premiere by early 2016, but the exact air date hasn’t been officially set. Meanwhile, pictures from the production set in Prague have been leaked online.
Moore answered a few questions about the show on Twitter. One question that many of the fans are interested in is the release date of the next season. In a tweet , the executive producer said that although the exact air date hasn’t been officially set, the fans can look forward to the show airing sometime in March or April.

The executive producer confirmed in a tweet that they are still looking to cast Brianna, also known as Bree. She is the second daughter of Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire Fraser (Caitriona Balfe). He also said in another tweet that they are still looking to cast Roger. Roger is Reverend Reginald Wakefield’s (James Fleet) adopted son.
Moore said in this tweet that production for “Outlander” Season 2 is going “really well.” “Show looks amazing, cast is superb, story working – very optimistic,” Moore tweeted . The filming is currently underway in Prague and the producer said in this tweet that the cast and crew will be returning to film in Scotland in the next couple of weeks, after the scenes involving Paris are complete.

Moore (@RonDMoore) September 12, 2015Responding to a question about spoilers, especially leaked pictures from the production set, the executive producer said in a tweet that he prefers all costumes and sets to remain hidden until the premiere of the show, but conceded that he has resigned himself to the digital age.
The executive producer pointed out that anyone who wants to avoid spoilers can choose to not visit websites that show them. He also explained that he is not worried about “generic spoilers” that don’t reveal too many details about the story, like Claire sitting in a carriage. [Spoiler alert]
A new set of images from the production set of “Outlander” Season 2 have also been leaked in this video . The pictures are said to be from Prague. These photos show Sam Heughan wearing a kilt and Balfe in her new costume. Apart from the two main cast members, the pictures also show some of the extras and the crew of the show.
