A new set of pictures of Claire wearing brown and red gowns in “Outlander” Season 2 have surfaced online. Meanwhile, Caitriona Balfe and Sam Heughan talked about how they take questions about them dating as a compliment.

New pictures of Balfe have been posted on Harpers Bazaar. Costume designer Terry Dresbach said that while they were busy filming the first season she was jumping up and down like the robot in “Lost in Space” that goes “warning! Warning!” whenever there is danger.

The danger in Dresbach’s case was the “tsunami” of costumes she had to design for the second season. She pointed out that they could not use anything from the first season as Paris was a totally different world. They managed to start working on the French costumes half way through the first season.

The result is an incredible array of costumes for every character on screen. Claire alone has about 25 costumes just for the first half of “Outlander” Season 2, Dresbach revealed. The secondary actress has 15 costumes while the men have 10 to 15 costumes each.

A normal show tends to have 2 to 3 costume changes for the secondary cast. This goes to show the scale of the next season of the TV series, for which Dresbach was very particular in terms of how the characters should look on screen.

Meanwhile, a video posted on the Twitter page of iTunes TV shows the cast members being asked about how Balfe and Heughan take questions on whether they are dating in real life. Balfe said that people believing in the relationship that they depict on screen is always a great thing for an actor, so the cast members take the dating questions as a compliment.

“Outlander” Season 2 is expected to add a new dimension to Claire and Jamie’s relationship. With a baby on the way, the couple will earn to cope with the challenges of being first time parents.
