Meanwhile, TV Line reports that British actress Sophie Skelton has been cast to play the role of Brianna on the show. The actress has been a part of many TV shows like “Foyle’s War,” “Doctors,” and “Waterloo Road.” Her most recent project is the TV series “Ren.”

The actress got a warm welcome on Twitter, with the fans and cast members Heughan and Balfe welcoming her to the “family.” Skelton will be playing the role of a character called Brianna. The character has been described as a strong minded and intelligent young lady in her twenties who can be a little stubborn sometimes.

Most of the filming of “Outlander” Season 2 has already been completed. Brianna is only expected to appear towards the end of the season. The next season is based on the book “Dragonfly in Amber” written by Diana Gabaldon.

Unlike the previous season, where Gabaldon had a hands off approach, she is more involved with the production of the show this time around. The author has written the script for one of the episodes of the show.

Gabaldon had visited the production set of the show when the first season was being filmed. Executive producer Ronald D. Moore had personally escorted the author around the set and had helped her understand the production process.

The author also visited the set of “Outlander” Season 2. The show is set to return in April and the fans are eager to see what the cast and crew have in store for them.
