'Outlander' Season 2: Behind the scenes picture of Caitriona Balfe and crew

A new behind the scenes picture of Caitriona Balfe filming a scene for “Outlander” Season 2 has surfaced online. The picture shows Balfe with the camera and other crew members.

The picture was posted on the official Instagram page of the TV series. The camera man is taking a close-up shot of Balfe’s (Claire) face in the scene and one other crew member is seen in the picture.

“Inside or out, rain or shine, the #Outlander cast and crew does whatever it takes to get the perfect shot,” the Instagram post reads. The scene appears to have been filmed in Scotland. The cast and crew had to endure some unexpected weather conditions while filming the scenes, but so far there have been no indications that the production has been affected or unduly delayed.

The behind-the-scenes picture of Balfe appears to be from one of the later episodes of the next season. Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire appear to be heading back to Scotland after their brief stay in France.

Another behind-the-scenes picture from “Outlander” Season 2 was shared by the producers on Instagram recently. It was a big night scene with many extras getting involved. “There were many a dark, cold nights spent on set,” the post revealed.

The plot of the next season revolves around Jamie and Claire trying to infiltrate the core group in the Jacobite Rebellion and stop them. The stakes are high as the two characters attempt to change history before it happens.

As Jamie and Claire try to focus on the mission at hand, their relationship will also get tested. A new GIF shared on the Twitter page of the TV series shows an angry Jamie asking “Him or me” with a dagger in his hand.
