After being cast as Comte St. Germain in “Outlander” Season 2, perhaps no one told Stanley Weber about the passionate and highly active fan base of the TV series. In a recent interview, the actor acknowledged how the “adorable” fans of the show have been “encouraging” him.

In an interview with Access Hollywood, Weber was asked about the reactions from fans after watching him on screen. The actor said that he is new to social media sites like Twitter, but said that the fans only had “positive things” to say to him.

The actor said that it was a good experience for him to see the amount of “great, loving” fans the TV series has. Thanks to the show, the actor has managed to add many new fans to his list as well.

Normally, any actor would find it intimidating to know that millions of people across the globe are going to watch his performance and will be judging his work. But, Weber said that the fans of the “Outlander” TV series have been “encouraging” and described them as being “adorable.”

Weber said that he sees his character as a normal human being and didn’t try to make him look “hateful.” The actor explained that he doesn’t see Comte St. Germain as a villain or a “baddie.” However, the actor added that the fans should wait a little, as he was sure that they would soon come to hate his character.

Comte St. Germain promised to get even with the Frasers in the very first episode of Season 2, but he is yet to take action to fulfill his promise. Weber was then asked if his character and Claire (Caitriona Balfe) would have been friends if they had just met, without the confrontation. The actor felt that that would have been possible and teased that there is “something happening” between his character and Claire.

The common thread that connects Comte St. Germain, Claire and Master Raymond (Dominique Pinon) is black magic. However, Claire being responsible for the burning of St. Germain’s ship in “Outlander” Season 2 makes it hard for them to be friends now.
