With twenty-four (24) categories, there are an estimated one hundred twenty-two total entries of nominees for all the awards to be given out at the 85th Academy Awards that will be held at the Dolby Theater Sunday, February 24, 2013.

Of these entries, fifteen films have received multiple nominations. "Lincoln" starring Daniel Day -Lewis and Sally Field came out with the most number of nominations after receiving twelve nominations while "Flight" and "Snow White and the Huntsman" received the least nominations at two (2) each.

Popular films like "Les Miserables" got eight nominations including Best Actor for Australian actor, Hugh Jackman and Best Supporting Actress for Anne Hathaway.

11 nominations: Life of Pi
8 nominations: Les Misérables and Silver Linings Playbook
7 nominations: Argo
5 nominations: Amour, Django Unchained, Skyfall, and Zero Dark Thirty
4 nominations: Anna Karenina and Beasts of the Southern Wild
3 nominations: The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey and The Master
2 nominations: Flight and Snow White and the Huntsman

With barely five days left before Hollywod's biggest event of the year, preparations have already been undertaken to ensure success of the annual grandeur attended by the world's most beautiful and talented artists in the entertainment industry.

The ABC network is reporting that the Hollywood Boulevard is already being dressed for the occasion. Heavy liftings greet the mornings less than six days before the much-anticipated event. The Hollywood Boulevard has already been blocked off and the Los Angeles police are keeping a tight watch in the area to avoid any untoward incident before the coveted Oscars 2013.
