So this is what happens when Robert Pattinson is not around to give Kristen Stewart a hand at The Oscars 2013. The Twilight actress came not with Robert in her arms but a pair of crutches. The big question now running into everyone’s mind: Why? And where is Robert?

Kristen caught everyone’s attention at the red carpet when she got out of her car clutching a pair of gray crutches and hobbled her way to the Oscars red carpet.

The vampire vixen however made some effort to be on her toes and handed the crutches to a nearby assistant and made her way to the photo line, flashing that elusive smile.

Kristen was wearing a strapless gown, a creation of Reem Acra Couture, designed with pleated tulle inserts. She complemented her pale blush ensemble with a Fred Leighton 19th Century Riviere necklace - - and of course, that eye-catching pair of gray crutches.

Critics have however given her a thumb's down on her hairstyle. Contrary to her sleek-tightened hairstyle at last year’s Academy Awards, the beautiful and talented “Speak” actress opted to grace The Oscars 2013 with her hair down.

Did Kristen not feel like making herself more beautiful like she has always been at awards shows because Robert is not around anyway?

The “On the Road” star is scheudled to present at this year’s The Oscars. As earlier reported by IBTimes-AU, the accomplished Twilight star has been confirmed to introduce at the Academy Awards 2013 for the nominations received by the fantasy film, directed by her former fling, Rupert Sanders.

The 2012 film produced by Universal Pictures and the Roth Films has been nominated in two categories. One is the “Best Visual Effects” for the magic created by Cedric Nicolas-Troyan, Philip Brennan, Neil Corbould, and Michael Dawson. “Snow White” has also been nominated for the “Best Costume Design” category and Colleen Atwood should get the award when chosen by the Academy.
