Each year, the most memorable happenings from the Oscars events are well taken note of, for the stars arrive unique and different each year. And what makes this year's Academy Awards much more exciting is that those who will not be getting the trophies are the ones who are most sought-after for the night.

In fact, this year's memorable moments start from the red carpet scenes.

Sacha Baron Cohen arrived in character in his newest film 'The Dictator.' Along the way, he was interviewed by Ryan Seacrest but as part of his surprise stunt, he spilled ashes on the tux of Ryan before some security people kept him away. As part of his publicity act, he said that it was the ashes of the late North Korean dictator Kim Jong-Il.

'30 Rock' star,Tina Fey, then dipped her fingers on the spilled ashes and made a 'cross' on her forehead with the fake remnants of the Korean dictator.

Then there's of course the comeback of Billy Crystal as the much renowned all time host of the prestigious event. He does the usual monologue, he sings, and then invites over Justin Bieber.

Octavia Spencer's win never failed to touch everyone's hearts even when she even inserted a touch of humour by also reading what is in the auto-cue stating 'please wrap up.'

As expected, the Cirque du Soleil segment was seemingly the same as their usual performances with just the only difference is that they all in movie based costumes with a video wall right behind them. It was very interesting though to see all their acrobats spinning right around and above the astounded audiences too. The entire performance was introduced by Muppets characters Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy.

Chris Rock was also present to do his usual impressionism acts as he was preparing to present the award for Best Animated Feature.
