“Orphan Black” season 4 is in the works. Sarah will be estranged from the clone club that used to be her source of strength and warmth.

Spoiler alert! This article contains “Orphan Black” season 4 spoilers.

Tatiana Maslany, who plays the main protagonist Sarah Manning, revealed a few details about what will not happen in the upcoming season.

“What’s not gonna happen? Flight. The miracle of flight. I will not learn how to fly in this season. I can guarantee that,” Maslany joked to Michael Ausiello of TV Line on the red carpet at the Emmy Awards on Sept. 20. The actress was nominated at the 67th Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Lead Actress for her multiple roles in the series. She feels grateful for the support of her fans, whom she credits for her recognition at the Emmys.

In the same interview, Maslany said she will return to the clone zone at the end of September when the BBC series starts filming Season 4.

BBC America reports that the cast and crew are currently filming in Toronto through March 2016. The official synopsis states that Season 4 of “Orphan Black” will feature the leader Sarah Manning, returning home against her will. She came out of her hideout in Iceland to locate a mysterious ally connected to Beth Childs, the clone that started everything. Sarah will follow Beth’s tracks as she starts a relationship with a new enemy, which will lead to a scary new direction. Sarah’s old habits also start coming back as she is placed under a lot of pressure to protect the sisterhood. Sarah will feel left out from the relationships that used to guide and comfort her, Los Angeles Times writes.

Joel Thomas Hynes (“Rookie Blue”) will also join the cast of “Orphan Black” as Dizzy, according to The Hollywood Reporter (THR). Dizzy is an edgy, independent and rebellious hacker.

Screen Rant notes that “Orphan Black” is about the sophisticated issues of human enhancement. The show features the religious, scientific and political viewpoints of clones, as well as how humans struggle with their identity. John Fawcett and Graeme Manson both created the show and serve as executive producers as well.

“Orphan Black” Season 4 is set to air in Spring 2016 on BBC America. More updates and details on new and returning cast members are expected to surface soon.
