“The Originals” cast member Charles Michael Davis teased in an interview what the fans can expect from his vampire character Marcel Gerard in the new season of the CW TV series. There will be intense fight scenes for Marcel, the arrival of new big bad villains in New Orleans and a romantic relationship with Rebekah Mikaelson, played by Claire Holt and Maisie Richardson-Sellers. “The Originals” Season 3 will premiere on Thursday night, Oct. 8, at 9/8c on the CW Network.

Spoiler Alert: This feature contains major “The Originals” spoilers.

In an interview with Showbiz Junkies at the 2015 Comic-Con, Davis teased that Marcel Gerard will start a vampire fight club in “The Originals” Season 3.

“There’s going to be some cool fighting. I just went to Louisville, I went to the Muhammad Ali Center and so I kind of want to incorporate a little bit of that fighting – that showmanship,” Davis said in the Showbiz Junkies interview.

Davis says the fight scenes in “The Originals” Season 3 suggest that Marcel could get back at Klaus Mikaelson, played by Joseph Morgan, because he was compelled to take part in the Original hybrid’s plan of defeating Aunt Dahlia, played by Claudia Black, in the previous season. Morgan earlier teased that he filmed a huge, emotional fight scene.

However, Morgan did not reveal who Klaus will face in the huge fight scene, just that it has a lot of vamping and wire work. Speculations suggest that the vampire will be someone close to Klaus like Elijah and Marcel.

Meanwhile, Davis also looks forward to the arrival of the new big bad villains in New Orleans. These villains are the vampires sired to Klaus and his Original vampire siblings Elijah, played by Daniel Gillies, and Rebekah.

Davis shared that the new vampire villains remind him of Marcel’s introduction in “The Originals” Season 1.

“They’re intelligent, they’re dangerous, they’re sexy. They come in with a twinkle in their eyes,” Davis said in the same interview.

Another thing that Davis looks forward to in the CW TV series is Marcel’s dynamic with the Mikaelson siblings. Davis admitted that he loves the opportunity to film scenes with co-stars Morgan and Gillies, even though they spend most of the time laughing on the set.

As for Marcel’s love interest Rebekah, Davis shared that casting both Claire Holt and Maisie Richardson-Sellers for the role has been great.

“I don’t really find people that I connect with like that, especially not even knowing them.So to have them hired and cast as love interests is some strange alchemy or chemistry,” Davis explained.
