'The Originals' Season 2 Spoilers: Cassie Returns, Witch Prison Storyline To Continue In Episode 10
Actress Natalie Dreyfuss gave a convincing performance as Esther Mikaelson in the first half of "The Originals" Season 2. The upcoming second half of the CW spinoff series will bring back the 27-year-old actress as the teenage witch named Cassie with the witch prison storyline continuing in episode 10.
A promo video in a TV Fanatic report showed Cassie recognizing Rebekah Mikaelson (Maisie Richardson-Sellers) in the mansion where some witches are imprisoned. Click HERE to watch "The Originals" Season 2, episode 10 promo video.
In an Entertainment Weekly interview, executive producer Michael Narducci teased that the fans will see Cassie again when the CW TV series returns in 2015. "She has slightly different hair but yes, that is Cassie," Narducci responded to confirm that the girl in the promo video is the Harvest girl witch that Esther (Alice Evans) possessed when she returned from the dead.
The executive producer shared that the fans will see Cassie in a state of post-traumatic stress after the Original witch inhabited her body. "Now we'll find that she was placed in this cottage for wayward witches that is basically a prison," Narducci teased.
Michael Narducci explained that witches who cannot handle their magic powers will be locked into the cottage by their coven. Additionally, there is a boundary spell over the witch prison so the witches in there cannot free themselves.
"The Originals" big boss teased that Rebekah Mikaelson will find herself stuck in the witch prison at the beginning of "The Originals" Season 2, episode 10. The executive producer further revealed that the person who will familiarize Rebekah Mikaelson with the witch prison's rules is Cassie.
In an InStyle interview last November, actress Natalie Dreyfuss admitted that she had platinum blonde hair when she started on the show. Natalie Dreyfuss revealed that she thought her platinum blonde hair colour will only make her portrayal of Esther a little more angelic looking so she had to make changes on her hairstyle in order to transform into the dark role in the CW spinoff series. The actress admitted that she likes to constantly change her hair but she is ready to have it long again.
The fans can catch Natalie Dreyfuss' return as Cassie in the second half of "The Originals" Season 2 starting Jan. 19, 2015 with episode 10. The brand new episode will air at 8 p.m. ET/PT on the CW Network.
