Lindsay Lohan received support from back home for the first time since she started her play in London.

The actress' Godmother Oprah Winfrey flew to London to watch her perform at her play 'Speed-the-Plow'. The queen of talk shows reportedly went to London solely to support Lohan and to watch her perform on stage.

She shared her excitement via Instagram along with a pic with the 28-year-old actress. "@LindsayLohan backstage at her new play in London. #SpeedthePlow," Winfrey shared. She also gushed about the actress' work and impressed by her progress. "I think she's doing really okay," said Winfrey, as reported by E!News.

The play 'Speed-the-Plow' is receiving mixed responses from the audience and critics. The show is a satire targeting Hollywood where Lohan plays the role of an innocent young temp.

Since the play's debut, Lohan has been accused of not taking her work seriously as she keep forgetting her lines during their performance. Daily News claimed that throughout the play, the actress needed a prompt to deliver her lines most of the time. Some critics also described Lohan to be too shaky while delivering the main monologue of the character, as told by Vanity Fair.

On the other hand, The Guardian claimed in their review that those who have come to watch Lohan botching her lines or committing major blunders are sure to leave disappointed. The actress has been reportedly giving brilliant performances and is getting better with each show. The review even mentioned Lohan as the only best thing about the play.

Since the two ladies share a special bond, Winfrey's visit to Lohan in London will surely raise her spirits as she is constantly under critics' glare for her performance in the play. In fact, some claimed that the play is just a desperate attempt to get back Lohan's lost acting career.
