Following the big split between Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez, the latter instantly became the most sought out single celebrity in Hollywood. Gomez had been spotted with one guy to the next and had even been caught with Josh Hutcherson of "The Hunger Games." Obviously, everybody wanted to be with Selena Gomez save for one. Who would this be?

Ever since the big split between "Jelena" couple, men and women alike have been lining up to date newly-single Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez. While Justin stuck to dating models, Gomez found love in the most unlikely of people of which include rapper Gucci Mane from "Spring Breakers" and Justin's friend, King Kevi.

However, if there is one friend Bieber can rely on to not hit on his ex-beau it would be One Direction's Niall Horan. According to Sugarscape, back when "Haylor" was still alive, Taylor Swift gave Selena's digits to Niall Horan in hopes of them hooking up. So did Niall Horan ask Selena out on a date? Well, apparently not because as Bieber's close friend, Niall didn't want any trouble and turned down the could-have-been date with Selena Gomez.

"Not only are they friends, but Niall's keen to avoid any trouble with Justin. He knows dating Selena could've prompted a war with Justin," stated the source to Now magazine.

For one, it was a good move on Niall Horan's part given Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber are back together. The former "Jelena" couple might have dissed each other in countless interviews. Yet, it looks as if those jabs were the thing of the past with Bieber's latest Instagram and Twitter posts.

In the middle of April, Bieber posted then deleted a photo of him getting snuggly with Selena Gomez. This fuelled rumours of a "Jelena" reunion of which both stars chose not to speak up on. Following a few days after, Justin posted and this time chose not to delete a photo of him shirtless with Selena Gomez hugging him from behind.

Clearly, representatives of Bieber and Gomez don't have to break the news that they are back together all thanks to the photo. As for Niall Horan, it was a good move on the One Direction's singers' part to not hit on Gomez after her BFF, Taylor Swift, told him to do so.
