One Direction’s latest album, titled “Made In The A.M,” will release on the same day as Justin Bieber’s “Purpose.” Naturally, it is expected that there will be an intense battle between the two albums to top the charts. And fans of both the camps are already fighting on social media. One Direction members, however, are unfazed by rivalry speculations.

In an interview with Coup de main magazine, Harry Styles and Niall Horan played down the rivalry hype fuelled by fans on social media.

Horan said, “There is no need for a fight. We just happen to be releasing our albums on the same day.”

He also clarified that this is not the first they are sharing the same release date with another pop artist. He recalled having released their earlier albums on the same day as Rihanna's.

Styles chimed in saying that releasing a record on the same day with other pop artists is not a win/lose thing. He explained that doing a record to compete with someone else in mind is not the right reason to make an album.

"I don't think anyone makes a record with competing with someone else in mind," Styles said. "I think then you don't make it for the right reasons.... I think we made the record -- we're very, very happy with it, we're very proud of it -- and now we're putting it out, and it happens to be on the same day as someone else, and that's it. It's not a win/lose thing -- it's, we hope that our fans like it, and if it does well that would be amazing, but that's not ultimately what it's about."

“Made In the A.M” is the group’s first album since Zayn Malik’s departure. For the first time, Styles opened up about Malik’s exit.

Styles said that not much has changed except for “missing a voice that was there before.” He assured fans that One Direction has grown “… much stronger through the realization that we all have the same goal for a lot of things.”

“Made In the A.M” is set to release on Nov. 13.
