Justin Bieber is mourning the loss of his beloved fan of whom he had lost to cancer. By the looks of it, with the news of One Direction beating him at the Billboards, more tears are headed Bieber's way. News is, the British boy band has trampled Bieber's number one spot with their single, "Live While We're Young."

The year is soon coming to an end with only less than four months underway. For the boys of One Direction, that's just about enough time to make themselves even more popular. Lately, the boys, namely Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik and Harry Styles have been nothing but busy with recording, world tours and interviews.

From being pint-sized amateurs on the show "X-Factor" to becoming the world's most popular boy band, One Direction is surely making one hell of a statement in the music business. The boys' recent wins include their win at the MTV Video Music Awards of 2012 where their hit song "What Makes You Beautiful" beat Justin Bieber's "Boyfriend." The boys managed to nab around three awards beating Canadian crooner, Bieber to a pulp.

The boys' win at the MTV Video Music Awards isn't the only "win" they managed to achieve. In only a matter of 24 hours of the One Direction's latest single, "Live While We're Young", the song hit an amazing 8.34 million views. The number managed to trample that of Justin Bieber's record for "Boyfriend."

"Directioners" will be glad to hear that the number is still increasing by the second and to date the video has over 27 million views. VEVO UK made the official announcement of the record-breaker on Twitter with the following tweet.

"After counting the @VEVO numbers, happy to say @OneDirection broker Bieber's 24hr record w/ 8.24M views!! #1DVEVOrecord," tweeted VEVO UK along with a link to the music video for "Live While We're Young."

Once again, thanks to this announcement by VEVO UK, a battle is sure to ensue once more between "Directioners" and "Beliebers." With the boys' album still unreleased, Bieber best be getting ready with another hit music video that would be enough to beat One Direction's next music video.
