One Direction had already met their 'biggest' fan all the way from New York.

Last Wednesday, Sesame Street posted over their Twitter account a photo of Big Bird and the members of One Direction -- Liam Payne, Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan. Styles even posed a thumbs-up beside the iconic Sesame Street character.

Along with the photo is the caption, 'Guess who's 1D's "biggest" fan?' They also thanked the group for dropping by the Sesame Street set.

A day before that, a 1D fan shared over Twitter a photo of the group with the Elmo, Bert, Ernie and the rest of Sesame Street characters while holding out the letter U.

Both photos are proof that One Direction will guest in an episode of America's longest-running children's show but the official broadcast date of this episode is yet to be announced.

Over the years, Sesame Street has featured a number of celebrities, including Jon Hamm, Jude Law, Henry Cavill, Halle Berry and Emma Stone. Ed Sheeran had recently filmed an episode to be aired next year.

Meanwhile, the group's rep had denied rumors that the group is disbanding because Harry Styles is pursuing a solo career. This was announced despite repeated claims of a source who is reportedly close to the group.

'The boys are all working on the new 1D album together and sometimes sessions are recorded separately,' says the rep.

The rep also denies rumors that group will star in their own reality show in the UK, as previously reported in The Sun.

One Direction has recently wrapped up their world tour and has released their album "Midnight Memories" which features the hit single "Story of My Life."

During the group's stay in New York, they have appeared in Saturday Night Live and watched a game featuring the New York Knicks.
