The Charmings’ storyline is getting a major focus in “Once Upon A Time” Season 6, Executive Producer and writer Adam Horowitz has revealed. There will be some more back story related to Prince Charming that will be shown this year.

[Spoiler alert]

Horowitz told Entertainment Weekly that David Nolan (Josh Dallas) has always had questions about his family and his father that he thought were answered. That past, however, will be explored again this year.

David’s past is important for his future, Horowitz revealed. The producer teased that the Charmings will embark on some adventures together that is related to David’s past. He said the past events will have an impact on them, as the story moves forward. The revelation will create some “unexpected obstacles” to the happy ending that they are trying to achieve.

The happy endings of all the main characters on the show is under threat after the return of the Evil Queen (Lana Parrilla). The villainous character is determined to get her revenge in “Once Upon A Time” Season 6.

Apart from the Evil Queen, another big villain on the show this time around is Mr. Hyde (Sam Witwer). Hyde took control of Storybrooke from Mr. Gold (Robert Carlyle) in the previous season, and the heroes are expected to fight him to take back control.

Mr. Hyde has also brought all the characters from the Land of Untold Stories to Storybrooke. The storylines of some of the new characters will also be explored in the next season.

Perhaps the biggest additions in “Once Upon A Time” Season 6 are Aladdin (Deniz Akdeniz), Jasmine (Karen David) and Jafar (Oded Fehr). The title of the premiere episode is “The Savior.” This year Emma Swan (Jennifer Morrison) will learn that she wasn’t the first person to take on this title.
