“Once Upon A Time” will once again entertain its audience on ABC for their sixth season, which started Feb. 12 in Australia. Fans can also expect a musical episode for this season showcasing the Evil Queen battling out the Charmings in a song showdown and a big solo number by Emma Swan.

Actress Jennifer Morrison (Emma Swan) has revealed that there will be an episode that will showcase their singing prowess in the sixth season of the show. Since most of the cast have either had previous experiences with theatre or even a professional musical background, everyone is excited for this episode.

Morrison also revealed that she will be having a solo musical piece on the abovementioned episode. Her piece will be included in the list of seven songs that will be included in the musical episode. There will also be a musical showdown between the Evil Queen (played by Lana Parill), and the Charmings, particularly Snow (Ginnifer Goodwin) and David (Josh Dallas).

The actress also stated that the cast joked about the idea of having this particular musical episode and even thought about actually making it happen. She also stressed that the ABC’s cast has been listening to each other’s song performances. Furthermore, they are currently trying to work out how the songs would fit together and how these songs would be incorporated in the storyline for the said episode.

Since the writers have just finished working on the storyline for the 18th episode of season 6, the plot for the future episodes are still in the works and are not yet set in stone. To date, the only thing that the cast of the series would know is that the musical will be slated somewhere around the 20th episode of the current season.

Apparently, in preparation for the much anticipated song and dance episode, the cast are already taking vocal and dancing lessons for a few months now. With the seven songs already set in place, recording are soon to follow.

The “Once Upon A Time” musical episode is set to be aired on ABC sometime around this March. Apparently, only four characters were mentioned to have significant roles for this episode. So far, these are the only details that were revealed during Morrison’s interview with TVLine.
