Disney’s D23 convention has featured ABC’s fairytale drama series “Once Upon a Time,” or “OUAT.” Cast members Lana Parrilla, Ginnifer Goodwin and Josh Dallas were present at the event as well as the creators of the show, Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz, to tease the upcoming new season through a sneak peek video from the premiere episode. “Once Upon a Time” Season 5 will premiere on Sunday night, Sept. 27, at 8/7c on ABC. [Spoiler Alert!]

“OUAT” cast members Lana Parrilla and Ginnifer Goodwin attended Disney’s D23 convention for the “An Evening With Snow White & the Evil Queen” panel, according to a report from The Hollywood Reporter. Series creators Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz were also present at the event with Josh Dallas, who portrays Prince Charming/David Nolan in the series, appearing as the surprise guest.

During the panel, a sneak peek video from the premiere episode of “Once Upon a Time” Season 5 was released to tease fans with the opening minute of the show. The scene picks up exactly where the previous season left off, which involves the unplanned crossover of Emma Swan, played by Jennifer Morrison, to the dark side as the new Dark One.

“How could she be so stupid?” Regina Mills, played by Lana Parrilla, declares in the sneak peek video after Emma Swan vanished into thin air. Snow White/Mary Margaret, played by Ginnifer Goodwin, points out that Emma saved Regina’s life from the Darkness.

Regina responds that she knows why Emma sacrificed herself but explained that Emma will now be a problem for all of them in Storybrooke. Robin Hood, played by Sean Maguire, wonders where Emma went after she got sucked up by a vortex of evil.

Captain Hook, played by Colin O’Donoghue, tries to summon Emma using the dagger, but the new Dark One did not appear. Regina orders Captain Hook to put down the dagger before he hurts himself.

When Regina asks if he knew the dagger’s rules, Captain Hook explains that he can summon the dark one in any corner of the world with the use of the dagger. Then Regina points out that Emma’s non-appearance means she is in another world.
