A remake of the original cult classic from the first PlayStation era "Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee" -- "Oddworld: New N Tasty" -- was completely rebuilt from the ground up, and it received plenty of praise upon release for the PlayStation 4. The game was released back in July 2014, and only now, after many months of waiting, is "Oddworld: New N Tasty" hitting other platforms.

The 2.5D side-scrolling platformer will first hit the Windows PC on Feb. 25, 2015, according to PC Gamer. This version will apparently have "fan requested" improvements for the game such as the old school control system from the older games and the typical modern game requirements like leadership score boards and achievements for doing specific tasks. The MAC and Linux versions will also be out on Feb. 25 and will have similar features.

Xbox One gamers will have to wait till early March to get their hands on the updated nostalgia fest, according to Gamespot. What hasn't been confirmed is if this re-release will come with all the previous downloadable content the PS4 version had. As of now there are no reports on the topic and it looks like the content will seemingly be put on each platform's respective online stores for the other players to get.

One surprise about the new re-release is that a PlayStation 3 version is also coming out. This version will have cross buy and cross save capabilities with its PlayStation 4 counterpart, so Sony fans won't have to worry about having to start from the very beginning of the game. It's unsure if the graphics will hld up, or if they will have to be re-adjusted to work on an older console.

Sadly, there continues to be no prominent release dates of the game for the Wii U and PlayStation Vita versions. A report from Destructoid stated that the Wii U version isn't cancelled, but according to series creator Lorne Lanning, the basic structure of the Wii U is what is causing problems. Basically, they want the game to run on an 8-gig unit of the Wii U, even though players can choose to increase storage value. It is an admirable effort to go with that sense of logic, even if it does lead to further delays.
