September saw the release of one of the best reviewed games with “Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.” This October marks the target month for some notable titles for the Xbox One and PS4 as well.

Both the Xbox One and the PS4 will be receiving console exclusive games, but there are multiplatform games down the pipeline. There will be several remasters for this month but there are new titles slated as well.

First of which is “Transformers: Devastation” set to release on Oct. 6 for both consoles. The game is currently receiving good reviews as its art style and gameplay are worth noting. For the musically inclined, the new “Rock Band” which will have more than a thousand songs, will launch on Oct. 6 as well. On the topic of rhythm based games, “Guitar Hero Live” and “Just Dance 2016” will launch on Oct. 20

Two Telltale games will be hitting shelves this month as well with the release of the much anticipated “Minecraft: Story Mode” and the remaster of “Back to the Future: The Game” on Oct. 13. Other re-releases include “Darksiders II: Deathinitive Edition” and the Game of the Year edition of “Dragon Age: Inquisition” on Oct. 6.

As for PlayStation 4, the console will see the release of some notable exclusives PlayStation Lifestyle notes. Perhaps one of the most awaited release is for the “Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection” which launches on Oct. 9. The game is a collection of the three previous “Uncharted” games to prepare players for the upcoming “Uncharted 4.”

Other October titles for the PlayStation 4 include “Disgaea 5: Alliance of Vengeance,” “Super Meat Boy,” “Three Fourths Home” on Oct. 6 and “The Talos Principle” and “Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree's Woes and the Blight Below” on Oct. 13. Meanwhile, the JRPG “Tales of Zerestria” will launch on Oct. 20.

Xbox One fans will also get the exclusive “Halo 5: Guardians” on Oct. 27, GameZone reports. This is the latest installment in the series that has received much hype, thanks to Microsoft and 343 Industries’ many efforts, including the Hunt the Truth audio series and “Halo: Nightfall” TV series. Other exclusives include “Elite: Dangerous” on Oct. 6 and “Afro Samurai 2” on Oct. 9.
