Nvidia Titan X release date, specs & price
Nvidia revealed the NVIDIA Titan X as the company’s new flagship and successor to GTX1080 GeForce video card. The NVIDIA Titan X, not to be confused with similarly named GTX Titan X, features the NVIDIA Pascal architecture. The GPU is reported to cost US$1200 (AU$1600) and will be available on Aug. 2. However, the exact price and release date for the Australian market has yet to be announced.
Nvidia claims, “ NVIDIA Pascal is the world’s most advanced GPU architecture, delivering truly game-changing performance, innovative technologies, and immersive, next-gen VR. With brilliant gameplay with captivating sights and sounds, it’s a whole new way to game.”
NVIDIA Titan X was developed to be VR ready. Nvidia stated that Titan X, with the help of Pascal architecture, is built to meet the demands of next generation VR displays. The video card is capable of running the most demanding ultra-high-resolutions in multiple monitors.
NVIDIA GameWorks technologies is also featured, enabling “extremely smooth” gameplay, cinematic experience and “revolutionary” 360-degree image capture. NVIDIA Titan X boasts a three times faster performance compared to the GTX900 series.
