A new Nokia invitation image for the July 11 New York City event was leaked online with a much clearer indication on the 41MP camera phone arrival codenamed the Nokia Lumia EOS. Recent reports claimed as well that the Finnish company's latest device appeared at the Federal Communications Common (FCC) approval file with AT&T-specific bands.

The enticing message on the Nokia invitation reads: "41 Million Reasons. See More at Conversations. Nokia.com 11th July 2013. 11AM EST/6PM UTC." The arrival of the Nokia Lumia EOS Windows Phone handset is expected to be Nokia's best chance of overthrowing rival giant companies like Apple and Samsung.

At the FCC filing, a device appeared with the model number RM-877 and reports immediately circulated that the approval filing appears to be for the much anticipated Nokia Lumia EOS. The device has the measurements of 130.35mm length and 61.4mm width making its size larger compared to the Nokia Lumia 925.

The device features as well the compatibility with AT&T LTE bands, pentaband HSPA+ with support for the GSM and EDGE connectivity, NFC and Bluetooth. However, it has not yet been confirmed if the device on the FCC filing is the 41MP Nokia Lumia EOS smartphone.

The key selling point of the Nokia Lumia EOS is evidently the 41MP rear-facing camera despite the claims on the upcoming smartphone having the familiar features and specs found on the Nokia Lumia 920. The EOS is expected to be bulky, thick and heavy in design due to its impressive camera technology.

Also, such a bulky camera sensor would mean a thicker, heavier device, and that could be a turn-off to some buyers. Still, the Lumia EOS is looming as Nokia's most promising device in quite some time, even as the lack of availability on other carriers may hamper its success in the U.S. at the end of the day.

Speculations suggest that Nokia Lumia EOS will eventually replace the Nokia Lumia 920 smartphone currently offered at AT&T as an exclusive Windows Phone 8 handset. Other reports even claimed that the Nokia Lumia EOS will be released at AT&T as early as this coming July but both Nokia and AT&T did not give any statement confirm or deny the circulating reports.
