Nokia has confirmed that a new feature called "Nokia Glance Screen" will be added to the recently unveiled Nokia Lumia 925 as well as the other Nokia Lumia range such as the Lumia 520, 620, 720, 820 and 920. The Nokia Glance Screen feature offers during standby mode the visibility of the time, battery information and volume signs on the smart phone screen without the need to press the buttons.

The Nokia Lumia's status will be displayed as well on the screen whether the smart phone is on silent mode, vibration or ringer mode and option for a night mode to reduce the brightness in the dark. Nokia Glance Screen can easily unlock their smart phone with the "double tap to wake up" feature without the need of finding the switch on or off button or swiping the screen.

"After receiving a large number of requests to bring back this favorite feature, it now comes as part of the Nokia Glance Screen, included first on the Lumia 925," Ian Delaney of Nokia shared through a blog post. A similar feature has been available on smart phones utilizing the Nokia Symbian OS.

Nokia further announced at the Nokia Conversations that the Nokia Glance Screen feature is still a beta version so a couple of glitches can be encountered during the early stages. Turn off the feature from the Settings tab to stop the experience on malfunctions.

The new feature upgrade is scheduled to be rolled out through the Lumia Amber update in the next couple of days. Furthermore, the Nokia Lumia Amber update will deliver the Smart Camera application to the other Nokia Lumia Windows Phone 8 Lumia handsets.

Nokia Lumia 925 has already arrived in Germany stores and the smart phone will become available soon in other European markets and worldwide countries like China and the United States. The Finnish company confirmed in May that Nokia Lumia 925 will be exclusively offered at T-Mobile US on the summer season.
