Nokia Lumia 900 owners can now acquire the Windows Phone 7.8 update as it officially rolls out before the month of April ends. Other Nokia Lumia smart phones that can receive the update as well are the Nokia Lumia 800, Nokia Lumia 710, Nokia Lumia 610 and Nokia Lumia 520.

The Finnish company is plugging the Windows Phone 7.8 update as their "biggest Lumia updates yet."
This weekend, Nokia released a reminder on the update's rolling out schedule and features.

Nokia's statement reads: "The updates will be delivered in phases by the end of April. You'll get a notification on your phone when they're ready to go. To download the software update, connect your phone to your PC and use the Zune PC app on a Mac, use the Windows Phone app for Mac. Once you're done, get the new apps from Marketplace on your phone."

The Windows Phone 7.8 update features a new Start screen that clears the screen's right-hand side black gutter. It allows the users to fully use the screen like the resizable Live Tiles feature where they can opt between the three sizes available by pressing and holding on the tile selected.

The update includes as well the new Lockscreen feature and the Nokia Ringtone Maker app. Nokia Lumia owners will be able to utilize the apps exclusively launched for the Windows Phone 7.8 update like the Bluetooth Share with DRM free media files, the updated Contacts Transfer and Share apps that makes setting up and sharing files more convenient and trouble-free.

The Windows Phone 7.8 update offers the Nokia Lumia 900 as well as the Nokia Lumia 800, Nokia Lumia 710, Nokia Lumia 610 and Nokia Lumia 520 with the Cinemagraph, Camera Extras and Bluetooth Share.

The Cinemagraph can create almost alive images and movie-like animation. It helps the Nokia Lumia users to choose their image's animated area and create a personal cinemagraph easily.

The Camera Extras features includes Smart Shoot that allows the Nokia Lumia owners to pick the best smiles in a captured image, the Erase Object can remove the unwanted stuff captured in the photograph, the Action Shot that can capture movements and the Panorama that gives broad yet high quality image.

With the Bluetooth Share, Nokia Lumia users can send and receive images or audio files with other smart phones. Simply turn on the Bluetooth and pair the Nokia Lumia smart phone with other devices to send or receive files with the use of Bluetooth Share.
