A couple of images leaked online teased that Microsoft is set to release the limited gold edition of the Nokia Lumia 830 soon. The latest reports claim that the Nokia Lumia 830 gold version will be launched on Thursday, Jan. 8, in China.

According to a Windows Central report, a leaked image came from a Weibo account with the username "Nokia171" where the rear side of the gold Nokia Lumia 830 Windows Phone handset is shown. The gold device appears to have a leather texture in the leaked image. Click HERE to see photo.

However, the other details on the gold version of the Nokia Lumia 830 were not included such as the availability and the pricing scheme for the limited edition Windows Phone handset. The Nokia Lumia 830 gold version is expected to offer the same features and specs found on the Windows Phone handset that was announced and released in September 2014. The smartphone has a 5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display with 1280 x 720 pixel resolution, Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, ClearBlack display, a quad-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A7 Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, 1 GB of RAM, Adreno 305 GPU and Microsoft Windows Phone 8.1 operating system.

Additional features and specs include 16 GB internal storage capacity, a microSD card slot in order to expand memory storage up to 128GB, 10 MP primary camera with PureView technology, Carl Zeiss optics, Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), autofocus and LED flash, a secondary 0.9 MP camera, Wi-Fi, NFC, Bluetooth 4.0, microUSB 2.0, a wireless charging feature that is Qi-enabled, OneDrive with 15 GB cloud storage and 2200 mAh Li-Ion battery with stand-by up to 528 h, talk time up to 12 h on 2G or up to 14 h on 3G and music play up to 78 h. The other colour options on the Windows Phone handset that the consumers can choose from are orange, green, white and black.
