Microsoft unveiled its brand new Nokia Lumia 830 at the IFA 2014. The highlight of the device is that, it comes packed with Microsoft's latest Windows Phone 8.1 update called "Lumia Denim."

Apparently, the Lumia Denim update will improve the camera's speed and the quality of the captured image. In addition, this update bundles the goodness of Windows Phone 8.1 Update 1 along with Lumia-specific improvements, says Nokia.

When it comes to the exterior, the Nokia Lumia 830 is a mix of metal, glass and plastic. The handset comes with aluminium covering along with glassy frontal display and a polycarbonate (plastic) rear. The Lumia 830 is Microsoft's slimmest and lightest handset ever released. If this is not interesting enough, the camera software can be utilised to add a LED flash like brightness to the captured image. Therefore users will be able to alter the image and get the desired result even after the photos are shot. Furthermore, there is a 0.9 MP secondary shooter at the front.

Other key features include 5-inch ClearBlack, IPS LCD display bundled with 1,280 x 720 pixels screen resolution and 294 ppi pixel density. The device is powered by a quad-core (Qualcomm Snapdragon 400) Cortex-A7 processor, clocked at 1.2 GHz. The Lumia handset comes equipped with 16 GB of in-built memory and microSD card support for expansion up to 128 GB. However, the device settled for a meagre 1 GB of RAM.

Speaking of weight, the device is 8.5 mm thick and it weighs 150 g. In addition, the Lumia handset supports wireless charging and provides 15 GB of free OneDrive cloud storage. The phone will come in orange, green, white and black hues. Last but not least, the smartphone will be backed by a powerful 2,200 mAh battery unit.
