It has been previously announced via social networking site Twitter that Nokia scheduled an event on October 22. Now, the Finnish smartphone manufacturer confirms that the upcoming event will be held in Abu Dhabi where Nokia device enthusiasts expect the Nokia Lumia 1520 Windows Phone phablet to be officially unveiled.

On Tuesday, September 24, Nokia posted a series of tweets inviting people to join them in the important event with attached images to further excite the public. The series of messages that Twitter account @nokia shared reads: "At #Nokia we believe in technology that brings people closer. Join us on October 22 #innovationreinvented."

"At #Nokia, we believe in technology that makes us more human. Feel it all on October 22 #innovationreinvented."

"At #Nokia, we believe in technology that grows in leaps and bounds. Discover more on October 22 #innovationreinvented."

The shared images only confirms the date and location of the Nokia event and the other event details remain a mystery like what Nokia device will be introduced there. Circulating reports speculate that the Nokia Lumia 1520 Windows Phone phablet will be the superstar.

The new Nokia phablet is rumoured to sport a 6-inch screen display making it the largest-screened Nokia device to date. Other expected features and specs are the quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, 20MP PureView camera with Carl Zeiss optics and dual-LED flash, Windows Phone 8 GDR3 update, 2MP secondary camera, Adreno 330 GPU, 4 microphones for Rich Audio recording, 32GB internal storage capacity that can be expanded through the microSD card slot available and the power of a 3400mAh battery.

The other Nokia devices expected to be unveiled on October 22 with the Nokia Lumia 1520 are the Nokia Lumia 929 and Nokia Lumia 2520 "Sirius" tablet. Reports on the Nokia tablet has been making the rounds as well on the Internet claiming that Nokia could unveil their first phablet and tablet device at the same time.

The Nokia Lumia 2520 tablet reportedly boasts of a 10.1-inch Full HD IPS screen display, 2GB of RAM, up to 10 hours of battery life and 32GB internal storage capacity that can be expanded through the available microSD card slot. A previous report on the Nokia Lumia 929 suggests that the smartphone is set to arrive at Verizon before 2013 ends.
