'Boruto' TV series changes original writer and artists; what to expect from the upcoming anime

Fans of the “Naruto” anime series should not feel blue with the franchise closing to an end as a new chapter's set to unfold with series spinoff, “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations.” The upcoming project will have a whole new cast of ninja proteges that anime enthusiasts will enjoy watching as they venture to become heroes of their generation.

The official trailer of the “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” television anime series has recently been released. The video showed the high-spirited Boruto and the new cast of the series. (Video can be seen at the end of article.)

The arc will revolve around a few years after the Fourth Great Ninja War wherein Naruto Uzumaki is now the Seventh Hokage. In addition, Naruto is now wedded to the princess of the Hyuga clan, Hinata Hyuga. The union of these two talented ninjas bore two children, Boruto and Himawari Uzumaki.

The series is a continuation of Masashi Kishimoto's Naruto creation. This new arc will be spearheaded by the team of writer Ukyo Kodachi and manga artist Mikei Ikemoto. The show promises to bring a lighter and fun series for younger kids to enjoy as Kishimoto explained in a translated interview with Weekly Shonen Jump, as quoted by Comicbook.

Pressured to be like his father, Boruto is now part of a ninja team that comprises of Sarada, Sasuke Uchiha and Sakura Haruno’s daughter, and Mitsuki who is known to be Orochimaru's son with mother who is not yet revealed.

Boruto will also be joined by several other ninja students who are now the second-generation children of Naruto’s batch of friends. These include Shikadai Nara, Inojin Yamanaka and Chocho Akimichi.

As said in the synopsis found on Comicbook, the village of Konoha has managed to change and modernise after an era of peace. The way to live in the ninja era has changed. The leader of the village is the seventh Hokage (Naruto Uzumaki).

In continuation of the synopsis, Boruto is the son of Naruto Uzumaki. To become a ninja, one must enrol in the "ninja academy." But the students in the surroundings see him with prejudiced eyes for his being "the son of the seventh Hokage." However he has unprecedented capabilities.

The anime television series “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” will be included in Japan's anime spring season lineup scheduled for airing on TV Tokyo on April 5. There is no news as to when the series will be released in other countries as of today.
