Last October, gaming giant Nintendo announced that it will release a new edition of its video updates called Nintendo Direct before the year ends. Now, the company has confirmed a release date for the new Nintendo Direct, and it comes at a really early date sometime this week.

In a tweet sent out by Nintendo, the promised Nintendo Direct will start this Nov. 12 and will begin streaming online at 2 p.m. PT. The tweet comes along with a few vague details about the topic of the upcoming Nintendo Direct, but it will be about updates regarding 3DS and Wii U titles.

The last time fans were treated to a quirky Nintendo Direct was last June at the E3 2015. Sadly, the video was not hosted by the late former president of Nintendo, Satoru Iwata. During those times, Iwata was still battling with his illness.

Perhaps the reason why Nintendo Directs are so popular is because of Iwata’s approach into hosting the video updates. Iwata made Nintendo Directs fun by adding a whole lot of humour and excitement to the videos. He even employed the aid of some guests including “Super Mario” maker, Shigeru Miyamoto.

Upon the passing of Iwata, fans worried that the Nintendo Directs will no longer be produced anymore. However, new Nintendo president Tatsumi Kimishima confirmed before that the videos will go on.

As expected, Nintendo will not reveal any new updates about its upcoming Nintendo NX console at the upcoming Nintendo Direct, Metro UK reports. The new console will be revealed next year. It could be shown at June during E3 2016.

There are several reports about the new console but all of them are still rumours as of the moment. The Nintendo NX will reportedly be slated to go up against the PlayStation 4 and Xbox Onesc and will bring back the use of gaming cartridges instead of discs.
