Nintendo NX and “The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild” may be released in March 2017. The official Nintendo France and UK’s amiibo sites listed a March 4, 2017 release date for the three planned “Breath of the Wild” amiibo. This could have been an honest mistake or an epic slip-up on Nintendo’s part.

Nintendo hasn’t revealed much about its NX console. However, the leak showed up as a sample at the bottom of the Nintendo France and UK amiibo page. It was spotted by Redditor DalekCydonia and NeoGAF. The page had the “Breath of the Wild” amiibo Archer Link, Rider Link and Guardian and all had the March 4, 2017 date mentioned.

As per iDigitalTimes, Nintendo France’s amiibo page had to be refreshed continuously to arrive at the “Breath of the Wild” amiibo popup. The Guardian amiibo showed up after two to three refreshes. The clickable links took visitors to the product page where a generic “2017” release date was mentioned. “Breath of the Wild” would be the release title for Nintendo NX.

However, many are of the opinion that the Nintendo NX and “The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild” March 2017 release is a goof-up and should not be taken seriously. March 4, 2017 is a Saturday but Nintendo typically launches its products in Europe on Fridays. This theory has been opposed by many who stated that Nintendo could be going for a worldwide release this time, writes Gamesradar.

The question is if “The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild” is launched on that date, will Nintendo NX be launched before it or simultaneously?

The Nintendo NX is rumoured to be a hybrid, handheld device that will have detachable controllers and will run on cartridges. Releasing the console next year makes more sense as Nintendo has promised its fans that it is working to bring the best of features in its upcoming Nintendo NX.
