New reports suggest that the Nintendo NX will be a handheld hybrid that will have three components. A worker at Foxconn has reportedly provided a sketch of the device and also the different components.

As per the Nintendo NX leak, the first component is dock with a cartridge slot, TV output and HDD. The second component, a performance module, has its own power supply and is portable. The CPU/GPU is inside and it contains a Li-ion battery. It supports Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and wired connections, Express.co.uk reports.

Just like the Remote Play, a feature allows users to transfer signals to the handheld. Users need to plug the dock component inside in order to make it a home console. The Nintendo NX has two candidate SoC, AMD R9 SoC and NVIDIA Pascal SoC.

The third component that has been hinted is the Nintendo NX device itself. It comprises of a low-TDP SoC and a 6-inch 720p screen. When the performance module is not connected, the Nintendo NX can perform basic operations with low quality graphics. It can also provide console-level graphics by displaying game graphics from the performance module.

The Nintendo NX performance module is portable as it comes with its own battery. While Nintendo seems pretty serious about its high-end handheld gaming, the NX console will not be able to match PS4’s power. Nintendo exclusives and on-the-go accessibility are however amazing selling points of the console that can interest any gamer.

The Nintendo NX may be revealed this October although a release delay is very much a possibility. The Foxconn worker’s leaks proved true in case of the PS4 Pro. Hence, these Nintendo NX leaks may also be true.

Most reports suggest that the Nintendo NX console is expected to be released early in March 2017 as “The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild” is expected to be launched with the console. Some believe the release date to be March 4, 2017.
