Nintendo’s next console, the Nintendo NX, is still a surprise at this point. The company has not yet revealed any specific details as to its actual design, features, or even the kind of performance that players can expect of the console.

However, there have been new reports that hint at three main franchises that may be coming to the Nintendo NX. MCV reported that games from the Pokemon, The Legend of Zelda and Mario franchises may be coming to the Nintendo NX.

These three are among the biggest franchises that have been linked to the Nintendo platforms. Considering how the competition for consoles nowadays, it is not unlikely, especially since each of the franchises has a sizable following and fan base.

According to the report, The Legend of Zelda game has long been teased for the Nintendo NX. Game Freak, responsible for the Pokemon titles, may also be bringing it to the platform. finally, there’s also the Mario game bound for the new console.

What’s notable about the new tip is that the games may come early on in the life cycle of the Nintendo NX. Instead of following in the footsteps of its predecessor, wherein the games did not roll out fast enough, the tpsters have told MCV that Nintendo is doing its best to not allow the NX to have the same fate.

Already, there are some reports that suggest that Nintendo has reached out to different developers and publishers so that the Nintendo NX will get support from third-party games. Fans can recall that the support for platforms like the Wii U have been waning which has contributed to the continuing snub of Nintendo platforms.

Granted, it was also due to the continued maximisation of more advanced consoles, such as the Xbox One and PS4, which means that the Nintendo NX should also have similar or at least at par specs to ensure full support.

However, there has been a report that the graphics will not be as high as the likes of the PS4. The latest report has pegged its graphics performance to somewhere between the PS3 and the PS4. Whether or not this will be enough to maintain support from third-party developers remain to be seen.

There are already some developers that have shown interest in the Nintendo NX. Ubisoft has already expressed its support and has even hinted at a surprise that the developer is working on for the Nintendo NX.

The Nintendo NX will be released sometime in March 2017.
