"Vampire Diaries" actress Nina Dobrev will still be one busy gal even though Season 5 of the CW TV series has wrapped up filming. The 25-year-old Bulgarian-Canadian actress joins the cast of the upcoming horror-comedy film project titled "The Final Girls" and teams up with Gorjana Jewelry to raise funds for charity.

According to the exclusive THR report, the TVD star got cast in the Sony Picutres Worldwide Acquisitions horror-comedy film "The Final Girls" under the direction of Todd Strauss-Schulson. Ms Dobrev will be working with Taissa Farmiga of "American Horror Story," Alexander Ludwig of "Vikings," Malin Akerman, Adam Devine, Thomas Middleditch of "Silicon Valley" and Alexander Ludwig of "Hunger Games."

The upcoming film's plot in the Just Jared Jr report reads: "The flick centers on a girl who, along with her friends, is mysteriously transported into the world of an iconic 80s horror flick, which starred her recently deceased mother (Malin Akerman), a famous scream queen. The group must try to survive the movie and defeat its crazed killer."

Nina Dobrev will be portraying the Alpha ex-best friend role in "The Final Girls." Production schedule is set to kick off in Louisiana next week. The TVD star's other movie projects include "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" and the Fox's summer comedy film titled "Let's Be Cops."

The In Style report revealed that Nina Dobrev will be teaming up with Gorjana Jewelry to raise funds and spread the awareness on the painful and life-threatening genetic disorder called Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB). The young actress and Gorjana Jewelry combined forces on the 24-piece curated selection of Ms Dobrev's favorite gorjana pieces where 50 to 100 percent of the proceeds go to the Epidermolysis Bullosa Medical Research Foundation (EBMRF).

The "Nina 4 EBMRF" collection is currently available until May 14, 2014 or Mother's Day. The "Nina 4 EBMRF" collection will be including fanciful gold jewelry pieces of a butterfly, star and heart motifs together with bold black enamel standouts.
