Actress Nina Dobrev is currently taking a stand against bullying. The 25-year-old star of CW TV series "The Vampire Diaries" joins the other celebrities speaking out against bullying in a campaign video that Bystander Revolution released.

The video that got published on YouTube last Tuesday, Oct. 14, focuses on how people can break the cycle of bullying. The video description states that people should not fight bullying by humiliating or attacking the bully.

The video description further noted that bullies have personal problems that make them lash out at people and compassion as well as understanding is needed in breaking the bullying cycle. Nina Dobrev tells the viewers that they should not bully others if they hate being bullied. "If you're being cyber-bullied, and you hate it, then, don't keep perpetuating that. Because, if you do it, too, because everyone else is doing it, then it's never gonna stop," the TVD actress stated.

Additonally, Nina Dobrev shared about her participation in the anti-bullying campaign on her WhoSay account to continue raising awareness on the issue. "Bullying. It's vicious cycle. Be the bigger person. Be the one to make it stop. Disarm w/ Love. @BystanderRev http://www.whosay.com/l/DrV9sUX Or for more videos visit http://www.whosay.com/l/Nho9sUY," the actress posted on her WhoSay account Nina Dobrev. According to a Movie Pilot report, Nina Dobrev's anti-bullying message may have been from TVD co-star and ex-boyfriend Ian Somerhalder's experience on social media. Ian Somerhalder found out that his new girlfriend, "Twilight" actress Nikki Reed, was being bullied on Instagram and the 35-year-old heartthrob actor decided to respond to the harsh comments in a more positive way instead of spreading hate and lashing out at people.

The other celebrities that joined the anti-bullying campaign video include Jamie Lee Curtis, Salma Hayek, Jason Mraz, John Green and Neil Gaiman. Actress Salma Hayek pointed out in the campaign video that bullying begins within the family.

"It comes from someone else in their house-their mother, their father, their brother, their sister-saying to them, 'You're nothing.' So they need to go do it to someone else so they can feel like maybe they're something," Hayek explained. As for Neil Gaiman, the author declared that there is no excuse for a culture of hate.
