“Nier: Automata” DLC packs may not see the light of the day due to lack of manpower and budget. Yoko Taro, the Japanese video game director, who has created the game characters, is not very optimistic. He revealed some important details about the DLC packs at the PAX East 2017.

Yosuke Saito of Square Enix has however has shown interest in developing the DLCs. The game is available in all regions on PS4, and is performing great all over the world. However, Taro hopes that players are not expecting too much from the game’s additional content. In “NieR: Automata” PAX East 2017 Live Q&A with Yoko Taro, the director also discussed a possible Drakengard series collection, as fans have reportedly made their voice heard on that matter. There is a massive demand for the series and Taro wants fans to reach out to Square Enix.

Taro is keen on the collection, provided he gets the money required for the project. Various gaming experts have written raging reviews about the game, calling it one of the best games of the year. The fast-paced Platinum Games action gameplay and Taro’s exceptional story-telling have both been praised. The PC version of the game is launching on March 17, writes WCCFtech. “Automata” is a joyful experience for those who are looking to be lost “in a ridiculous and unabashed videogame.”

Players may take some time to get to grips with the game. There have been criticisms too. Many have not been impressed by the graphics, the multiple-ending way of storytelling, and some are of the opinion that the game does not explain the facets of the upgrade system properly. On the other hand, many fans have simply loved the charm, originality and sheer surprise in “Automata.” It also has to compete against the likes of “Horizon: Zero Dawn” and “The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild,” two blockbuster titles.

The “Nier: Automata” story unfolds a couple of thousand years after the period shown in the first game. An alien invasion has driven humanity to the Moon and Earth has been taken over by robots. However, in order to claim back Earth, humans send Androids to Earth to take down the aliens, and the team includes the popular character 2B. The combat system is very satisfying as it offers a wide variety of enhancements to bolster 2B and adapt her to the player’s preferred playing style, writes Independent.
