Nico Roseburg engaged in a friendly banter with Mercedes team mate Lewis Hamilton on social media as the latter turned 30 on Jan. 7th. "#HappyBirthdayLewis-30!! Have a great party! This day is good for me. You are old now, so hopefully it will be easier for me this year :-)", tweeted Roseburg to wish him on his birthday.

Last year the fight was real. The two Mercedes team mates locked horns in an almighty battle to become the Formula One Champion at the end of the season. Ultimately Lewis Hamilton won his second championship crown and Nico Roseburg finished second. Australian Daniel Ricciardo finished a distant third. Mercedes was the runaway winner of the constructor's title.

The Mercedes non-executive director and three times Formula one champion Nikki Lauda believes that the pair are wiser for that experience. The race at Spa was the tipping point in the altercations. The team subsequently imposed a communication ban between the drivers and the situation slowly diffused when Roseburg congratulated Hamilton after his win in the final race of the season at Abu Dhabi.

That the team did not impose any embargo on them and eventually they settled matters themselves will be better in the long run for the drivers as well as the team is what Lauda feels. Lauda goes on to say that tension among Formula One racers is a common thing that he has himself been guilty of in his racing days. He is hopeful that everything is now pointing to a bright 2015 season for Mercedes when the two drivers will go for the title all over again.

In another news Force India are the first team to be ready with their new car for the season. They will unveil the VJM08 in a glitzy ceremony in Mexico City's Soumaya museum on Jan.21st.
