Nick Kyrgios showed his big heartedness after announcing that he will donate money for every ace he hits until the end of the season. The Canberra native tweeted that he will donate $50 to the Elena Baltacha Foundation.

The Elena Baltacha Foundation is a charity founded by former British number one Elena Baltacha. The institution aims to provide opportunity for children who want to learn tennis and continue Baltacha’s passion. Baltacha passed away due to liver cancer in May 2014. Since its inception in 2001, the Elena Baltacha Foundation has raised over US$3.3 billion (AU$4.5 billion) and has extended help to over 160 countries.

Kyrgios wouldn’t be the first tennis player to donate money for every ace fired. In September, Andy Murray also announced his donation pledge for refugee crisis, where £50 (AU$106) is to be donated by the two-time grand slam champion for every ace he hits until the season is over.

At the Australian Open in January, Serena Williams also said that she will donate AU$200 for every ace she hits to raise funds for Lou Gehrig’s disease. She fired 88 aces during the tournament, raising more than AU$17,000 for her beneficiary.

Kyrgios is currently taking part in the 2015 Rakuten Japan Open Tennis Championships. Raising the Aussie flag after Matthew Ebden, Sam Groth, and Bernard Tomic all perished in their matches, the 20-year-old defeated Roberto Bautista-Agut 6-4 6-2 to clinch a spot in the last eight. The Australian beat Bautista-Agut in straight sets, firing eight aces during the match. He will play Benoit Paire or Marcos Baghdatis in the quarterfinals. A potential semifinal clash with reigning champion Kei Nishikori also looms.
