Nick Jonas was surprised after Ellen DeGeneres teased him about dating rumours with Kate Hudson.

Jonas was a guest on the “Ellen DeGeneres Show” on Thursday, Oct. 22, where DeGeneres put him in the hot seat after he commented on how his life “dramatically changed” following his split from long-time girlfriend, Olivia Culpo, Us Weekly reported. It started off with DeGeneres telling Jonas that he seems to be “doing fine” and “doing okay” after his break-up.

The former Disney star replied, “You know, it’s an adjustment. I was with my ex for two years and when my life dramatically changed — I started touring and doing all of these projects — it was an adjustment doing it alone.”

DeGeneres then teased Jonas that “[he doesn’t] seem to be alone,” referring to rumours that the singer is dating Hudson. Jonas was silent for a couple of seconds before he broke out in smile and asked DeGeneres, “What makes you say that?”

“Well,” she replied. “Because there’s someone who ends up being in the same city as you all the time, coincidentally.”

Jonas and Hudson have been spotted together on numerous occasions, which sparked dating rumours. According to Entertainment Tonight, the two were seen at New York’s Industry Club during Demi Lovato’s launch party for her new single “Confidence” last week. In late September, the two stars also spent time together at Disney World’s Hollywood Studios in Florida.

Meanwhile, Hudson declined to comment on the dating rumours during a recent appearance at Andy Cohen’s “Watch What Happens Live” show, People magazine reported. When a caller asked about the romance rumours, the actress replied, “I don't like addressing any kind of gossip.”

The actress even denied rumours that she’s dating her agent, Michael Kives. Hudson told Cohen during the show that her agent has been described as her “mystery man” for “maybe 25 times.” "Honestly, you can't hug someone or talk to someone without it being a thing,” she commented.
