The Wells Report, a 243-page document that investigated “Deflategate”, has implicated that New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady had knowledge of the deflation of footballs in their conference championship game against the Colts.

The report, which was published on Wednesday, stated that a pair of Patriots personnel, Jim McNally, the team’s locker attendant and John Jastremski, the equipment assistant were aware of the deflated footballs used in the 2015 AFC Championship Game.

Adam Schefter, the NFL Insider for ESPN.com, posted on Twitter that the league is already thinking of possible sanctions for the two Patriots personnel and the team’s starting quarterback.

Text messages between McNally and Jastremski were also retrieved in the investigation that concluded that the pair were involved or planned in the deflation of footballs not only during the game against the Colts but also other games during the season.

“Based on the evidence, we also have concluded that it is more probable than not that Tom Brady was at least generally aware of the inappropriate activities of McNally and Jastremski involving the release of air from Patriots game balls,” the official report stated referring to Brady’s probable involvement in the “Deflategate”
