As many as three teams in the National Football League, or NFL are planning of working out quarterback prospect Marcus Mariota. The New York Jets, San Diego Chargers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers are the teams mentioned that will evaluate the quarterback prospect in preparation for the 2015 NFL Draft in April.

Initially reported by the New York Daily news last Friday, officials from the Jets including general manage Mike Maccagnan, head coach Todd Bowles, offensive coordinator Chan Gailey and quarterbacks coach Kevin Patullo will be in Orgeon where they’ll evaluate the NFL QB prospect.

Multiple reports earlier in NFL offseason stated that Mariota’s talent could land him as the top pick in the rookie selection although there are also reports that he could drop all the way to the No. 10 spot. Another QB prospect in Jameis Winston is expected to go number one overall, which is owned by the Buccaneers.

The Tennessee Titans pick second, Jacksonville Jaguars pick third, Oakland Raiders pick fourth and the Washington Redskins pick fifth. Aside from QBs Mariota and Winston, other top prospects in the draft include Leonard Williams, Dante Fowler, Amari Cooper, Shane Ray, Kevin White, Vic Beasley, Brandon Scherff and La'el Collins.

The Jets will pick sixth overall and the Chargers will select 17th overall but they can move up in the draft with trades. The Jets have quarterbacks Geno Smith and Ryan Fitzpatrick in the line-up and Mariota can be the third-string QB if he’s not yet ready to be a starter in the league.

The NFL Draft 2015 will begin on April 30, Thursday and will end on May 2, Saturday.
